And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.”
We once lived in the blissful ignorance of sinful nature. We were pushed and pulled from one fleshly desire to the next. Our very identities were wrapped up in our selective crooked pleasures. But Father had another plan. He saw our dry tree and could not leave us in that awful ignorant state. He brought the Holy Spirit to nudge us into the fear of the Lord. The personification of wisdom worked and worked to crack our darkness just enough for us to see the Light.
Father’s restoration work delves deep into our beings. His love is so powerful it blasts forth into one thousand generations of our posterity because of our yes to Jesus Christ and the sure and certain guarantee of Fathers love.
We can also see in this passage Fathers great desire for us in our new creations, He desires that we flourish. He doesn’t just restore our dry tree. He brings great potential life to us and patiently waits for us to mine treasure out of our new life.
How do we mine out the treasure that He has placed inside us? By walking in confidence in our new creation identity. By praising our way through every fire. By taking thoughts captive and slaying them with the Holy Word of Truth. By embracing our God given righteousness.
By believing beyond a shadow of a doubt that we have been made holy and blameless. By loving the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, souls and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
We must agree with Fathers love to the point of loving, forgiving, and caring for ourselves. Not in an arrogantly self centered fashion. But rather in a revelation of the truth that we are new creations and a firm agreement that the old man is dead and crucified. Put on the new creation today and never take it off. Hallelujah!
Father, thank You for your new life. I am a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. You bless all the work of my hands and have made me the head and not the tail. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
I will walk with no fear or anxiety or worry. It is not part of who I am to fret over unseen circumstances or what if’s. I am made righteous and holy and blameless in Jesus Christ. The old man is crucified and no longer lives. I will accomplish all of Fathers plans and purposes that are laid up for me to discover in my inmost being. I’m truly grateful for the miracle of new life. I love You. In Jesus name. Amen.
