New Creations: Embracing the New Wine in New Wineskins

Mark 2:22

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”

Through the amazing grace of Father, we now are new creations, wineskins. He has removed our old, crooked, and perverse nature and its carrying case from us in a swift, deliberate, and calculated manner. It is not a procedure that can be reversed. We are new creations housing the Holy Spirit.

Our destinies lay within our reach. The plans that Father has brilliantly crafted for us are now able to be realized. Those precise and detailed plans cannot be accessed through the old wine and inferior wineskins. our old nature was unable to produce the will of God in our lives. Father in His great wisdom foresaw that we needed to be made completely new.

Therefore He crucified our old flesh to separate it from us forever. It is deception to think that our flesh is not dead. The enemy lies and lies about our flesh being alive and in charge. Our untrustworthy emotions bend our thinking to consider that maybe we aren’t changed that much based on facts and experience. But Jesus proclaims that it is finished.

So is it finished or not? That’s what we must decide. We have to insist in our minds that we are new creations no matter what we see or feel. If I believe that I am a new creation I will begin to feel and act like one. Conversely, if I believe that I am a rotten dirty sinner I will feel and act like one.

It’s our choice to agree with Father’s truth. There is no other truth. Today let’s operate out of our new wineskins that are filled by an inexhaustible fount of new wine. New creation life awaits our steadfast agreement so it can flourish.

Father, I am so grateful for Your amazing grace. You have given me a new life. I am born again and brimming with hope. I will accomplish all of the plans that You have for me here on this side of the river of life. I am blessed and capable beyond my natural limits because You inhabit me.

I’m blessed and I have Your powerful favor enveloping me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am completely new and the old man is dead and gone. The only thing that remains is the imaginations that set themselves up against the knowledge of God. I will take those imaginations captive and slay them with truth. I love You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
