Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
There is a crossroads that comes to every soul that has ever lived. No matter your social status, economic status or your nationality a decision to believe that Jesus is the Christ or to reject Him as Savior comes to each heart.
It is not enough to sort of recognize Him as sovereign or to sit on the fence between belief and unbelief. Satan owns a vast territory here on this earth and in spiritual places, but he also owns the fence (the spirit of religion).
Fence sitters and waverers will unfortunately be condemned by their own inaction. Saving faith is smaller than a mustard seed but yearns to be released to grow into maturity. After we are born again and made into new creations, the relentless assault on our belief system begins.
Carefully crafted deception networks its way around our lives and proceeds to sow doubt and fear into the hearts of believers.
We can rebuff those deceptions with truth like this one. Forcing ourselves to believe that Jesus is the resurrection and that life brings much-needed nutrition to our new creations.
If we can believe that Jesus Christ is Himself God then we can see that all life emanates from Him and continues in Him forever. Why is that truth so liberating? Because we will know indefinitely that we will also live forever with Him into all the ages to come.
We won’t just be floating around on clouds aimlessly for eternity but rather we will have specific specialized tasks and purposes beyond our current comprehension to fulfill in the ages to come.
We will see new colors and hear new sounds. There are only seven notes in all of our broken down musical world but in heavenly places more notes than we can fathom wait for us to discover them.
Music, sights, colors, sounds, emotions all will be liberated. Even our very own earth will be made new and no longer subject to decay. No more weeds or poisonous plants. No more storms that take life.
No more travail of any kind. Animals will be free to use their vocal cords to praise their creator and communicate with us.
There will be no more killing of any kind. There will be close intimate relationships with each other and of course, with our Father all because Jesus Christ is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE.
But for this current dispensation, we are afforded a unique opportunity to praise our creator in the muck of this world and captivate every thought that rises up against the knowledge of God and slay it with truth as an obedient act of worship here and now.
Growing in grace is ours for the taking and being confident in our new creation identity brings Father the glory that He deserves.
Father, I am absolutely convinced that Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life. I am extremely grateful for this profound revelation. I know that You are teaching me how to live and grow in Your grace.
I am a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit and ready for all the plans and desires of my heart that You have woven into me when I was being created in my mother’s womb.
I will joyfully praise You here and now. I am not fearful to begin new tasks and new ministries because fear is on the outside attempting to come back in. I know that I will live forever.
I’m looking forward to living in all the different ages and dispensations to come. I love You. In Jesus name. Amen.
